Final–state radiation in electron–positron annihilation into a pion pair
نویسنده
چکیده
The process of e+e− annihilation into a π+π− pair with radiation of a photon is considered. The amplitude of the reaction e+e− → π+π−γ consists of the model independent initial-state radiation (ISR) and model dependent final-state radiation (FSR). The general structure of the FSR tensor is constructed from Lorentz covariance, gauge invariance and discrete symmetries in terms of the three invariant functions. To calculate these functions we apply Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) with vector and axial-vector mesons. The contribution of e+e− → π+π−γ process to the muon anomalous magnetic moment is evaluated, and results are compared with the dominant contribution in the framework of a hybrid model, consisting of VMD and point-like scalar electrodynamics. The developed approach allows us also to calculate the π+π− charge asymmetry. PACS: 12.20.-m; 12.39.Fe; 13.40.-f; 13.66.Bc

Final–state Radiation in Electron–positron Annihilation into Pion Pair
In this article the final-state radiation (FSR) of the hard photon in e−(p1) + e(p2) → γ ∗(Q) → π(p+) + π −(p−) + γ(k) reaction is considered in the framework of ChPT with vector ρ and axial–vector a1 mesons 1) (the FSR diagrams are shown in Fig.1). Our consideration of FSR is motivated by the necessity to study model dependence of the next-to-leading order hadronic contribution a μ to anomalou...
متن کاملThe radiative return at φ - and B - factories : small - angle photon emission at next to leading order ⋆
The radiative return offers the unique possibility for a measurement of the cross section of electron–positron annihilation into hadrons over a wide range of energies. The large luminosity of present φand B-factories easily compensates for the additional factor of α due to the emission of a hard photon. Final states with photons at large angles can be easily identified. The rate for events with...

By solving the Fokker-Planck equation directly we examine the effects of annihilation, particle escape and injection on the form of a steady-state positron distribution in thermal hydrogen plasmas with kT < mec. The positron fraction considered is small enough, so it does not affect the electron distribution which remains Maxwellian. We show that the escape of positrons in the form of electron-...

A Monte Carlo generator has been constructed to simulate the reaction e + e − → γ + 4π, where the photon is assumed to be observed in the detector. Only initial state radiation is considered. Additional collinear photon radiation has been incorporated with the technique of structure functions. Predictions are presented for cms energies of 1GeV, 3GeV and 10GeV, corresponding to the energies of D...

A Monte Carlo generator has been constructed to simulate the reaction e + e − → γ +4π, where the photon is assumed to be observed in the detector. Isospin relations between the amplitudes governing τ decays into four pions and electron positron annihilation into four pions respectively have been found which allow to determine all four modes after the amplitude for the π + π − 2π 0 channel has b...
